Anything Review: Building Software by Describing What You Want

Anything belongs to a new generation of tools where you describe the software you want and the system starts building it.

That can change the economics of testing ideas.

An entrepreneur who once needed a development budget just to see whether an idea had potential may now be able to create a working version first.

That does not mean generated software is automatically ready for customers. Security, data structure, testing, scale, and strange edge cases still matter.

The exciting part is speed. The dangerous part is mistaking speed for finished engineering.

Pros

Fast prototypes. Lower barrier to building internal tools and new applications. Great for experimentation.

Cons

Generated does not mean production ready. Important software still needs serious review.

My take

Incredible for creating and testing ideas. Use more oversight as the stakes get higher.
