The StackCurated Verdict
Dub.co scores 85.2 out of 100 on our weighted engine, with its highest pillar in efficiency at 93 and its lowest in time-saved roi at 76. On our modelling it returns roughly 1.2 hours per user per week, about 58 hours a year per seat, and offsets around $55 a month ($660 a year) of tooling or labour it replaces. Buy it if the job you need done is "link infrastructure and first-party attribution" and you will actually use it daily. This is a monetized partner link, which changes nothing about the score above.
Who Should NOT Buy This
Skip Dub.co if you are teams that have not agreed on the process this tool is supposed to run — software does not settle an internal disagreement about who owns the workflow. Its weakest pillar is time-saved roi (76/100: workflow acceleration, automation depth and manual hours eliminated each week.), so if that is the exact dimension you are buying for, look elsewhere first. At team scale the seat cost compounds, so it only clears its own bill when a user is saving close to the 1.2 hours a week we model.
Community consensus
Aggregated operator sentiment tracks our score band: users consistently praise efficiency and describe know exactly which channel produced revenue as the reason they keep it. The recurring complaint clusters around time-saved roi and around onboarding a full team rather than a single power user. We synthesise this from public reviews, forum threads and vendor documentation, and we re-score when the pattern shifts.
At first glance, Dub looks like another place to shorten links. That really undersells it.
What I like about Dub is that it is built for people who actually care about what happens after somebody clicks. You can create cleaner branded links, track performance, see where conversions are coming from, and run affiliate or referral programs from the same general system.
That makes it much more useful for a business than a random free link shortener.
If all you want is a shorter URL for an occasional social post, this is probably more than you need. But if you are spending real money or time on marketing, knowing which links lead to actual results starts to matter very quickly.
Pros
Good analytics. Professional looking links. Useful affiliate and referral tools.
Cons
More than a casual user needs. The data only matters if somebody actually pays attention to it.
My take
I would use Dub for campaigns where I wanted a clear picture of what was driving clicks and conversions.
