JBBR Pro Review: Hiring Software Can Help, but Hiring Is Still Human

JBBR Pro is described as a recruiting and candidate management platform.

I can see the usefulness immediately if a company is hiring at any real volume.

Candidates get lost in inboxes. Interview notes disappear. Somebody forgets who was supposed to follow up.

Centralizing that process makes sense.

My hesitation with all recruiting automation is the same. People do not fit neatly into databases. A rigid screening process can eliminate an unusual candidate who might have been excellent.

Use software to organize hiring. Be careful about letting software decide who deserves a conversation.

Pros

Better organization. Faster screening. Easier candidate pipeline management.

Cons

Rigid filtering can remove strong unconventional candidates before a human ever sees them.

My take

Good for managing the process. Human judgment should still own the important decisions.
